Anna Howlett
- Registered Psychologist & Co-Founder of The Lavarack Rooms
Principal Psychologist & Director of Anna Howlett Psychology
-
Anna offers a supportive and professional space for individuals looking to navigate life’s challenges and improve their mental well-being. While forensically trained, Anna primarily works with everyday people.
Anna’s therapeutic style is clear and collaborative, where clients feel understood and supported to explore their emotions, thoughts and life patterns without judgement. She believes therapy should feel like a partnership where clinical expertise meets lived experience – and together this combo builds clarity, direction and practical tools for meaningful, sustainable change.
While Anna holds a forensic endorsement, she uses this as added clinical depth rather than a main focus, enhancing her ability to understand behaviour, context and complexity with precision and nuance. Her passion lies in working with real life human concerns, especially in women’s health including fertility, reproductive mental health and the transition into parenthood, as well as anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, ADHD and the deeper underlying patterns that shape wellbeing.
Anna draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy informed practice, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and trauma-informed, strengths based strategies.
Anna’s work is about helping people step into their lives with steadiness, clarity and confidence, giving them space to deepen self-understanding and follow through with the changes they want to make.

Mirinda Smith
- Registered Psychologist
Principal Psychologist & Director of Satya Psychology
-
Mirinda is the therapist who brings equal parts strategy, depth, and genuine warmth into the therapy room. She works as a compassionate guide for people who want to untangle their past, make sense of their patterns, and build a future that actually feels like theirs, not one they think they should want.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in ACT, CBT, and DBT, with additional training in Gottman Level 1 for relationships. She also works through a psychodynamic lens, helping clients uncover the deeper, often unconscious patterns that shape how they think, feel, and relate. This blend allows Mirinda to balance practical, skills based support with meaningful insight and emotional depth.
Mirinda supports clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, postpartum challenges, and all the messy in between experiences that do not always fit neatly into a diagnostic box. She believes therapy works best when it is real, warm, and human, not clinical, distant, or performative.
Outside the therapy room, Mirinda is a twin mum, which means resilience, adaptability, and the ability to pivot in chaos are part of her daily skill set. She shares her life with a 12 year old chihuahua named Beefy, yes really, and is a proud chocoholic who firmly believes some things are just good for the soul. Mirinda is relatable and laid back.
She is deeply committed to lifelong learning and is constantly reading, studying, and upskilling, so clients can trust they are receiving current, evidence based care. In a past life, Mirinda worked as a nutritionist, personal trainer, and yoga teacher, and yes, she is a millennial, interpret that however you like.
You can review Mirinda’s availability on her website by accessing her Client Portal. She is at The Lavarack Rooms on Fridays. Follow the ‘Book With Mirinda’ link below.
